Holiday Recap

Holidays are too crazy for me to be able to keep up with the blog, so I'm starting again and hopefully I can get back to where I was so all the family and friends can know whats going on over here in CA. So get ready for a ton of pictures all about how awesome our holidays were!

After Halloween my grandparents, aunt, and cousin came and we all went to Disneyland! We love it there and love being able to go all the time! Jack gets a little freaked out on some rides, but at the end he usually says that he liked it :)

We went to AZ for Thanksgiving and had so much fun! We got to play with cousins!

and Jack was loving baby Truly! I got to steal that little girl a lot over the holidays and I loved every second of it!

Then it took us 7 hours to get home because of crazy traffic! I don't know if you can tell, but we were all stopped and people were getting out of their cars just hanging out in the middle of nowhere!

Then three weeks later we went back to AZ for Christmas! That's when Jack learned how to take his clothes off :) He's going to be mad at me one day for posting this on the blog...

Christmas morning! Jack did like opening presents, but we were just so tired from waking up early and our camera ran out of batteries so I only have tired pictures. We'll do better next year of capturing the moment

After the holidays the cousins came to visit and we had so much fun with them! We had another fun filled week of Disneyland!

Marshall took me to the fashion district for one of my Christmas presents and I fell in love with that place! I've already been back with all my friends and we can't wait to go again!

This week I was having beach withdrawals so I took Jack the other day and it was so nice! I love the beach and since Christmas is over I just want it to be summer so I can go all the time! We made some sand castles.

The tide goes out really far in the winter so we got to walk around the wet sand a lot more than you normally would.

So he ended up going barefoot

The birds at the beach are crazy scavengers and when we went back to our bag to get some more graham crackers the whole pack was gone and there wasn't even a crumb left. They were sicking close to Jack whenever he had food in his hand in case he dropped anything.

The coolest part was because the tide was so far out we were able to see starfish! There were tons of them! Jack kept calling the fish stars:)

We had a little lumber Jack this year with a beard and all! And Jack has been loving anything to do with Halloween! I've been hearing about pumpkins, ghosts, bones, spiders, and fankensteins for weeks now, but we had a great time at our ward trunk-or-treat!

I've been trying to do fun things for Jack's birthday week and since Marsh has been gone so much at school, tonight Jack and I went out on a date :) We got some yummy dinner and a movie. He was a good date! Marsh has some tough competition :)

Home Made Playdough

I made playdough for the first time today! It was way easier than I thought and turned out great! Jack woke up from nap and played with it for at least an hour straight! What a fun toy!

Ayala Football

Last Friday we went to the high school football game because it was the school's rival game. Jack was a little nervous at first with all the noise and kept saying he wanted to go home, but he liked it more and more as the night went on :) Sadly we lost bad and Marshall was switching loyalty to the other team by halftime... But it was a good time!

Children's museum

Last week we went to the children's museum in Chino for the second time since moving here and it was so fun! Jack was in heaven running around looking at all the little rooms and playing with all of his friends! I only got one picture where he's actually looking at the camera because he was too busy having so much fun!

Jack will be two in a week and I just had to post things we love about Jack!

-When I tell Jack something exciting he says "No way!" or "really? WOW!"

-When he wants to get out of time out early he yells "hug!"

-He calls fankenstein 'frankencelery' from vegie tales and he loves to say Halloween things are scary and spooky

-He gets mad when we don't pray for daddy at school every prayer :)

-He loves his ABC's and knows all of them! The other day we was pointing to the letter and saying "mom what that?" I would say "an A" Jack would say "good job mom!"

-He falls asleep to primary songs and 'popcorn popping' is his favorite.

-His favorite toys right now are trains, cars, and nemo.

We love Jack so much and I can't believe he's going to be two!

Train Station

In honor of Jack's amazing block train that he was building all morning we decided to go to the train station and watch some trains. Jack loved it and I'm surprised he wasn't scared at all. The trains were really loud and made everything shake as they went by, but he was loving every second of it!

This was the same train station where we went to pick up my mom when she was in town for the Labor Day weekend and when we were leaving Jack said "Gram?" It was sad, but I'm surprised he remembered. We miss all of our family, but Jack remembers everyone so I'm glad about that :)

Choo Choo

Jack had fun in the splash pad

We had a fun long beach day. Jack tried sharing his sandwich with the birds.

It was a pretty cold day so we were bundled for most of it, but it was still fun to be there and find shells and play.

Jack took a good long nap while we were there too :)

Jack also played with his friend Ruthie. He loves to play with her and always asks when Ruthie will be back.

The dean of dental medicine decided that some of the questions on Marshall's test were poorly written so they dropped a bunch of them from both of the tests and now Marshall got an 85% on both tests! We're so excited and he's doing really well in the class! Keep it up Marshy!

Busy Month

We started off with a big bruise on Jack's forhead that ended up looking like a uni-brow before it healed

We had fun at a train park with some friends. Jack loved to say choo choo and look at the train.

We took a spontanious trip to AZ to visit family and Jack had so much fun seeing his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He and Sky had fun jumping on Gram and Gramp's bed :)

When we got back home Marshall surprised me with some pretty flowers! He's so good to me! :)

And Jack got back to doing what he loves! Pulling out every pillow in the house and jumping off the couch onto the pile! It's one of his favorite Sunday activities :)

The bad news is that Marshall didn't pass his last test :( but it was very hard and only 7 people out of 74 in his class did pass. So at least he wasn't the only one to have a hard time with it. Now he's working hard to get a good grade on the next test!

First Test

Marshall survived his first test! He passed so he can't complain... It's been a crazy week and me and Jack haven't seen much of Marshall. It's hard to go all week and barely see him, but it was nice to celebrate his test being over. Now on to the next one!

Sometimes we have to come up with fun things to do in our little apartment. Jack somehow climbed in our linen cupboard and I started taking pictures. After that he just wanted to say cheese and make funny faces for the camera :)

Jack has been having a hard time going to sleep lately. On Sunday around 3:00 he couldn't last any longer. He climbed up on the couch with Marsh and put his face on Marshall's and fell asleep so fast. Hopefully we can get his sleeping habits back to normal...

Our gym in our complex has this awesome little room for the kids. You can go and put a movie in for them to watch and they can play and see you work out through the glass doors. Well Jack started out really good...

The first day of dental school! Marshall looks so handsome all dressed up! We were sad to say goodbye to him, but he's ready to get to work and start school! I know he'll do so good and work really hard! We love you Marshy!

Marshall's white coat ceremony was the day after Stewart's wedding and I was so glad to make it to both things. The ceremony was nice and it made us feel like school was officially starting. I was able to meet some of Marshall's classmates and get a feel for the place that he'll be spending so much time at over the next 4 years. It was really good and now we can let the crazy times begin!

Sorry Stewart and Nicole that Jack had to steal so much attention on your big day! We all had a blast minus the burned hand drama... but we're so happy for the cute couple.

These little boys had so much fun playing cars and racing at the luncheon and the reception. It was so hard to take Jack away from his friend :(

All the kids had such cute outfits at the wedding! The girls' outfits were so adorable!

Stewart and Nicole got married last Friday and luckily me and Jack were able to be there. Marshall was already in school so he missed it :( but it was fun and we're so happy for the newleyweds! Congratulations guys! It was a fun day!

Sea World Trip

Jack loves the turtles from Finding Nemo and he was so excited to see real ones!

Bad picture cause the lighting was bad, but there's a shark behind us!

Spinning Sea Star ride (like the tea cups at Disneyland) and Jack loved it!

Soft bouncing pad for the little kidos to play on. It was a nice break from trying to keep Jack contained in his stroller and he enjoyed running around. :)

These were Pilot Whales in the Dolphin show, which was so fun to watch! The shows were amazing and it's crazy to see how big all the whales are in real life!

It was mine and Jack's first time to Sea World and our trip was so fun! Jack was really good during the whole thing! He had so much fun and loved to see all the animals in real life. His favorite movie is Finding Nemo so he would see a fish and say Nemo or Dori and he loves the turtles in the movie so they were his favorite! We all had a good time and can't wait to go again some day! :)

Hair Cut

Goodbye little beach bum hair!

Jack did pretty good when he had a dum dum to eat. It took two of them to get through the cut, but it made my job a little easier...

This was the best after photo I could get. He was having so much fun playing with his truck he wouldn't stop to pose.

I finally got up the courage to cut off Jack's hair! I've given him a short cut before, but it's always hard because he looks so much older! I just want him to be my little baby forever, but he's getting to be a little boy. I guess he's almot two so he's getting to the toddler stage, but it makes me kind of sad. Even though I'm kind of sad how old it makes him look, I still think he looks really cute with it! :)

Chinldren's Museum

We went to the Children's Museum in Chino today with a group of dental student's wives and their kids. It was a really cute place. I only got some pictures of Jack sitting on the motorcycle, but they had a bunch of little rooms with activities and things to play with and learn about for the kids. It was fun and Jack loved it even though he got crazy by the end. I talked to a few of the girls there and they were telling me how hard dental school is and how they never see their husbands... It freaked me out a little bit, but I'm grateful to be able to spend a lot of time together as a family right now before Marshall starts school and I don't see him very often over the next four years.

We just barely got the internet so I can post! We got here in California on Saturday and it's been great so far! Jack has seemed to like it even though he was really sad to see all of our family leave. It's been wierd not having them close by, but we're close enough to visit often. We're lucky to already know a few people here and we all went to the splash pad at the shopping center close to our house and Jack loved it. I can tell we're going to have a lot of fun here!

It started with PJ pants for Jack and an apron for my mom and then I spotted a tutorial for this bedding online and I went crazy... I've been working on this bed spread for a month and a half now, but it's finally finished! Now I need to make some pillows to match :)

He is all boy, loves getting dirty, and yes he found a caterpillar at the cabin. I'm pretty sure he ended up squeezing it too hard so RIP little caterpillar.

Basketball! My sister was babysitting Jack and she lifted him up to dunk a ball and it was all over from there. Jack fell in love and won’t stop saying basketball and don’t even think about walking by a basketball hoop without playing for a little bit or Jack will be UPSET. It is seriously an obsession! He even watches basketball games on TV with Marsh and he yells when they make a basket and gets so excited… I guess I better get used to having basketball around the house all the time!

Wow a lot has happened in the last little bit! All of the holidays came and went so fast, we've been moving, getting our house ready for our renters to move in to, Marsh just got a new job, and Marsh also has an interview with ATSU dental school. I finally had time to post about the last two months of our lives! It has been crazy, but we're having fun and hanging in there!

Marshall just found out that he got accepted to Western University in Pomona, CA. We'll see if we end up with any other options, but we were so excited to at least be accepted to one school! We at least know he will start dental school in the fall of 2011!

California Trip

Last weekend we went to California with my family and we had a blast! Jack loved the beach and I think it was the best day of his life so far! We can't wait to go back!

It was a lot of firsts for Jack this weekend. His first D-Backs game... we lost 14-1 (pathetic, I know), his first 4th of July (go USA), his first cotton candy mustache (thanks to auntie Ames), and his first fireworks show(he didn't even get scared of the loud noise)! Wow these last 8 months have flown by! Jack turned 8 months on Father's Day and it was a great day! Marshall is an amazing dad to Jack and he loves being a parent. He said it was a good first Father's Day! We are both really blessed with good fathers and it's nice to have a day to celebrate them! Jack is in a really fun stage! He is always happy and smiling and he eats nonstop!

Jack loves his swing and he takes naps in it every once in a while. Now that he's bigger he will sit up in it and the other day he was so tired he fell asleep sitting up in his swing, and this was the result...

This last month has been fun with Jack learning to crawl and pull himself up next to things. Here are some funny pictures and video we've teken of him. I'll post some of Jack crawling soon! I just haven't uploaded them to our computer yet.

Jack will pull himself up to stand but he gets stuck and needs help getting down. He was crying for me to help him down and I thought it was so cute!

I hope they call me on a mission! I love getting Jack ready for church! Little boys in suits are the cutest!

Teething

Wow I had no idea how aweful growing new teeth was until now! Poor Jack has been getting fevers and having such a hard time sleeping since he's been teething. His two bottom teeth have popped through and he's been feeling a little bit better because of that. He is now 7 months and weighs 17.6 lbs. and is 27" long. He is getting so big and crawling every where now! He's in a really cute stage right now, but I'm sure it will get cuter once he gets a break from teething! ;)

Six Months

Jack is six months now! I feel like he is going to crawl pretty soon here! I'm a little nervous about it... He can sit all by himself now too. We went on a picnic to Freestone park today and I was laughing because I packed Jack's lunch and it was a bottle... It was an easy picnic and a fun day!

Two Years!

April 17th was our two year anniversary! We went to Scottsdale and stayed at the Hyatt (where Marshall proposed) and it was really nice and relaxing! We got to sleep in for the first time in about 6 months! I can't believe it's been two years already! Marshall is the best husband ever! I love you Marshy!

The Month of March

We took Jack to a spring training game. The Diamondbacks didn't have any more seats so we went to see the Rockies andthe Mariners.

Me and my mom have been taking Jack swimming a little bit and he loves it! He just relaxes in his little float and kicks his feet.

Jack has started liking bath time better and he loves his bath toys, or loves to eat them...
Jack is now 5 months old! He went to the Dr. earlier this month and he weighed 15.7 lbs. He was 26 in. long! Looks like he is going to be a tall boy! He rolls all over the place and says da da. He is so fun and cute at this stage! We are loving it!

So Marshall and I had been making bets for changing poopey diapers. He kept losing which was good for me because that meant he owed me 10 poopey diaper changes by the time we were done! Well, when he went to change his first one, and this was the result...

Poop was everywhere!!! Marshall almost threw up he was so grossed out! So he still owes me 10 poopey diaper changes because I had to help with this one. That was Jack's biggest attack yet!

We went a got Jack a new beanie the other day. His head got too big for his little baby ones and I missed him wearing them. I love it when he wears beanies! I think it's the cutest thing ever! He pulls it down over his eyes sometimes and freaks out about it haha so he still needs to grow into this one...

This is Jack sleeping in his crib. He's been sleeping in his car seat since he's been born and we're slowing trying to switch him over to the crib. It's just been so nice sleeping through the night I'm afraid to move him to the crib and have him wake up in the night...

Cabin Trip & More

Jack is loving his bouncer! He's starting to play with toys more and it's so much fun!

January has been a busy month! Jack is 3 months old today! He is looking so big and so much older! I weighed him on our scale at home and he was almost 15 lbs. I don't know how acurate it was, but he's growing.
We took him on his first road trip to St. Johns and he slept the whole ride there! We got to go to our Aunt Trisha and Uncle Jay's farewell. It was amazing and we'll miss them while they're gone. We'll have to go visit them in England!
Then last week we went to the cabin with my brother and his friends. We played a ton of games and had so much fun! Jack loved it too! He got to see his dad make a fire. It was a nice weekend getaway before this school semester started.

Dr. Appointment

Jack went to the Dr. today and he got some shots. He cried when they gave them to him, but he calmed down right when they were finished. He is getting so big! He weighed 12.6 lbs. and was 24" long and his head is 16". He's still in the 75th percentile for everything.

It was Jack's first Christmas and we got him some diapers! He loved them! haha He got some cool toys from his Grammy and aunties so I can't wait till he's big enough to play with them! It was a good Christmas this year with so many babies around and spending time with family! We loved it! Merry Christmas!

Jack is now 2 months old! And as you can see in the pictures it's been a happy 2 months! He is always happy and smiling so big when he wakes up in the morning. I love it and since his mouth is so huge he has the biggest smiles! He was blessed a week ago today and he had the cutest little blessing outfit! It looked like a white tux. The blessing was so good and I know little baby Jack is going to grow up and be an amazing example to so many people. Marshall and I are so happy and blessed to have him as our son.

Meet Baby Skylin!

Skylin Pearl Adair was born December 17 and was 5.7 lbs. and 18 1/2in. long. She is super cute and unbelievably tiny! Jack is just getting bigger and bigger everyday! Notice how Skylin is half his size. He has a Dr. Appointment on Monday so we'll see how much he weighs then! Everyone has been guessing and I think it'll be 14lbs. at least! Marshall thinks 13.8lbs. We'll see on Monday whose guess is the closest!

When Jack was 9 days old we layed him on his tummy and he rolled over onto his back! We were so surprised we rolled him back over and he wouldn't stay on his tummy so we had to video tape it! Hopefully this isn't a sign that he's going to be a crazy kid...

We went to the doctor today and Jack now weighs 10lbs. 14oz. He still measured 22in. and he is in the 75th percentile for his height and wieght. But he is a healthy strong little boy!

Jack is one month old today! It's so wierd that it's been that long already. It went by so fast and it seems like it was yesterday that we were on our way to the hospital to have him. We love him so much and it's been a fun month!

These were some pictures my mom took when she was staying with us and I thought they were so cute! He's actually awake in them. All this kid does right now is eat and sleep so it's hard to catch him when he's awake and just hanging out. We've been having so much fun with him so far! Tomorrow he goes in to the doctor for his check up so I'll see how much he weighs now. He eats so much I'm sure he's gained some weight.

My New Favorite Thing

Jack is finally here and I couldn't be happier! He is my new favorite thing and I can't believe how in love I am with this kid! He is perfect and the cutest kid I've ever seen! The delivery was definitely a crazy experience, but Marshall helped out a ton and he was a great "coach"! Now I can say it was worth everything you go through once you have the baby! It's been so fun hanging out with Jack all day! He basically just sleeps and eats right now so here are some more pictures of him sleeping! Enjoy!

Well Chelsea had Mr. Jack Adair Hamblin tuesday morning at 5:40 am. He is a healthy baby boy and weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 22 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing really good. We are home now and it feels great to have him here. He is a really good baby so far and he sleeps lot. Chelsea Did so good during the whole labor, I'm really proud of her. It was a wild night but absolutely amazing as well. Enjoy the pics!!!! I'm sure more will come later

Belly Shot

I'm 38 weeks now and still pregnant! This is how big my belly is now and I don't think this baby is coming any time soon. I went to the doctor yesterday and I'm not dialated at all so this baby is just taking his time. We are definitely ready for him though! We finished the nursery and have everything we need to take care of a baby. Now it's just up to him to decide when he wants to show up!

This was my how big my belly was around 7 months. Now I only have 5 weeks left! I can't wait to see our baby and to not be pregnant anymore! I can't believe it's getting so close! We have our last child birth class tonight so hopefully we'll be prepared when the big day is finally here!

So it's about time I make another post! We just went to the doctor today and had an ultra sound and we're going to be having a baby boy!!! We're so excited and Marshall can hardly wait to start playing sports with the little man!

Okay so I feel like we haven't posted for a while, so here's the update. I have been pretty sick lately because I'm in the early stages of pregnancy! I've never been happy to be sick before haha. But we are so excited to have our family get a little bit bigger. The baby isn't due till October so we still have a while to get ready. We'll be working on turning our "guest room" into a "nursery" now. I guess Becky was right all along on calling it the nursery!

So I finally took some after pictures with our house all done, and now that we're all moved in and settled I figured I needed to post about it. There are still a few projects that need to get done, but for the most part we're finished! So here's the tour... Hope you like it!

We got really lucky with the kitchen because the cabinets and counters were already looking good for us! We just had to paint.

This is our office. I didn't take a picture of the guest bedroom yet because it still has boxes in it. Becky calls the guest room the nursery... so maybe one day when we have a baby it'll get finished.

This is our amazing closet that Marshall's dad did for us. We love Classy Closets and Sherwood helped us out so much with everything!

My friend Alli drew the swirls on the wall with chalk and we traced over the with paint. It was a really fun girls night!

This is the master bathroom. We retiled this bathroom. Sherwood helped marshall with that and my dad once again helped put all the new fixtures in. Thanks so much for all your help guys!

Sister Grant

My friend Brooklyn just reported to the MTC today! She is going to the Phillipines and will be speaking Tagalog. All of us girls got together on Monday to help her pack and say goodbye. It was sad, but I know she will be an amazing missionary and help so many people over there. We love you Brooklyn!

Catching Up

Okay so I've been really bad at posting lately so I have a lot to catch up on. We finally moved into our house a few weeks ago! I only have a few pictures right now, but I'll post more as soon as I get them. We were able to borrow my mom's tree so we could be a little festive this Christmas season.Thanks mom!

Since we've moved in my crock pot has become my favorite kitchen appliance! I made my first roast in it and it turned out so good! I was so happy because I'm not the best cook and Marshall always has to help me learn how to cook... haha So now I feel like I can cook one good meal and Marshall loves it!

We've also went bowling with my older brother Austin and his fiance Chelsie, and my younger brother Stewart and his girlfrind Nicole.

And to bring in the new year Marshall and I went up to my grandparents cabin with our friends Cynthia and Dustin, and Kelsey and Dallas. We drove up to the snow and went sledding! It was a blast! Happy New Year!

Here's the update on the house! Over the weekend Marshall and a friend from the new ward textured the walls and put in a new window. And on Monday night I got a whole group together to help me paint the bedroom. It has been so much work fixing up our house and we're so grateful to everyone who has helped! It's also a lot more fun when your friends all come to help! We still need to paint a lot and get new carpet put in, but we're hoping to move in on Thanksgiving weekend!

Last weekend we went to the Brooke White concert at the Mesa Ampetheater. She did so good and it was really fun! Also we got a house! It's been such a huge ordeal, but we're glad it's over and we finally got it. I'll be posting before and after pictures of the house because it needs some work done to it.

We went up to Strawberry for the 4th and it was so fun! The highlight was fishing at Blue Ridge Reservoir! It was so pretty! My little brother and sister were the only ones who caught some fish. We were all festive in red, white and blue!I didn't even tell Marshall to wear red!
